Cinema quality material for your home theater! Note: This is bare projector screen material only. There is no frame or border included with this screen.I sell this material at rock bottom prices! You will not find a seller selling it cheaper, and if you find a seller who is claiming to have this same material, and is selling at much cheaper prices, it is because they are selling much cheaper (and inferior) versions of this material imported from Hong Kong or China! This is a far superior product that is MADE IN THE U.S.A! I too have the option of purchasing this cheaper imitation material for about a 3rd of what I pay now, (which would greatly improve my profit margin) but I refuse to sell an inferior imported product! This is a genuine professional grade 0.8 gain High Contrast Grey/Gray PVC projection screen material!!! This is NOT a cheap blackout cloth or a rubberized canvas type of fabric! This is the same type of high grade material used in the commercial brand name screens!! This is also the ONLY type of material suitable for outdoor use! For outdoor use, you need to use a PVC material no matter what the other sellers here on eBay try to tell you! The canvas type of material will not work outside!!! The reason is that the cloth, or rubberized canvas type of material will absorb moisture, and it is nearly impossible to keep clean! A PVC material on the other hand, is completely waterproof, stain resistant, mildew resistant, and is easily cleaned. The viewing surface of a PVC material is laminated, so all you have to do is wipe it down with a damp sponge. You can even hose a PVC material down without having to worry about moisture. I know this because I sell both types of material, (PVC and RUBBERIZED CANVAS) AND I WOULD NEVER RECOMMEND USING A RUBBERIZED CANVAS OR CLOTH TYPE OF MATERIAL OUTDOORS!! Companies such as Draper, Da-Lite, and other major screen manufacturers use this exact same type of material for their screens costing hundreds or even thousands of dollars! This is not the same 3 layer cloth based material, or rubberized canvas that other sellers are trying to pass off as projection screen material! These materials simply don't have the reflective properties that a true projection screen provides! A true projection screen has some important characteristics that these other materials don't have, such as a specially textured surface to prevent light spill and glare, a woven fiberglass core to prevent the screen from sagging over time, and a black backing to prevent any glow from behind the screen which happens with a screen without a black backing. (Ambient light behind the screen will reflect off of a white backing, especially when mounted over a window, and will cause a glow behind the screen reducing the perceived contrast ratio. (The black backing is designed to absorb any excess light). The material I sell is a genuine PVC projection screen material that is manufactured specifically for re-producing high resolution images from your high definition DLP, LCD, or CRT projector. It has a durable, heavy weight construction of vinyl, laminated to a tear resistant, woven fiberglass core with a black backing that is totally light blocking. Designed for use with all high definition DLP, LCD, and CRT projectors. Superior Picture Quality: The type of screen you choose for your home theater can have a dramatic effect on image quality and detail. Too many people make the mistake of devoting most of their time and funds to the projector itself, and overlook the importance of the quality of the screen! But in reality, the screen is just as important as the projector itself! Projection screens can vary by as much as 50% in contrast levels and clarity! This is true even for screens that supposedly have the same specs! I have worked with many different screen manufacturers over the years, and I have found that there is a broad range in overall quality and picture detail between the different brands of material. (If someone is selling what they claim to be a professional grade product for far less than I am selling it, then trust me when I tell you it is not the same quality!) Just because someone claims to have authentic projection screen material doesn't mean that it is. I can back my claim up with a spec sheet direct from the manufacturer. I am constantly sampling new products as well as the products of my competitors to make sure I always have the highest quality available. The material I sell is what I believe to be the best material you can find anywhere. The only way to tell for sure is to compare side by side, which is why I always offer FREE SAMPLES of my material. Compare for yourself and you'll see the difference! Easy Maintenance: Since the viewing surface is laminated to the fiberglass core, it is almost completely stain resistant. Dust, fingerprints, smudges, even accidental spills all wipe off with a damp sponge and some mild detergent. Try that with a cloth based screen! Not even lipstick or crayons (I've tested it) will stick to this material! It is also mildew and flame resistant, and is made to last a lifetime. Instructions For Frame: Includes easy to follow instructions with a list of materials needed to build a simple, but professional looking frame with black border. It will be cut from a brand new roll when your order is placed, and it will be shipped rolled, in an industrial cardboard tube to ensure that your screen arrives 100% wrinkle free. I purchased the matte white 1.0 gain material and I couldn't be happier with it. I mounted it on a DIY frame over the weekend and it looks fantastic. The material I purchased off you replaced a Da-lite HCMW (very light grey) material I had been using for about 4 years. The material you sent me is VERY similar in construction to the HCMW from Da-lite. The surface texture is obviously different, but the construction and quality of the material is on par with the material from Da-lite. I was also very happy to see it really is screen material and not just vinyl sold as screen material. As for the performance, the material provides a higher contrast than the Da-lite HCMW while still maintaining excellent black levels, even for a matte white screen.
